Part 9. Two Prophets of the Apocalypse.
Amos 3:6. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 7. Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets
The Old and New Testaments mention two prophets who will come to earth in the last times, before the Day of Judgment, the second coming of Christ the Savior. The importance of their visit is significant - God not want to warn people about the future tragedy and judgment. They will prophesy of the coming of the Antichrist, wars, famine, the persecution of Christians, the approach of the Kingdom of Heaven and Lord and the Day of Judgment. Wise people will understand them, will make important decisions to avoid of being tempted by the flattering words of the Antichrist, to save their souls from hell.
Revelation 11:3. And I will give power unto my two witnesses,
and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth. 4. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing
before the God of the earth. 5. And if any man will hurt them, fire
proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will
hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6. These have power to shut
heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over
waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often
as they will. 7. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall
overcome them, and kill them. 8. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street
of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our
Lord was crucified. 9. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and
nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not
suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10. And they that dwell upon the
earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to
another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11.
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them,
and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And
they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13. And
the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city
fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant
were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven
Zechariah 4:1. And
the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is
wakened out of his sleep, 2. And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I
have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of
it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are
upon the top thereof: 3. And two olive trees by it, one
upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4.
So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are
these, my lord? 5. Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto
me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 6. Then he
answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the
LORD of hosts. 7. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt
become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings,
crying, Grace, grace unto it. 8. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me,
saying, 9. The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands
shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me
unto you. 10. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall
rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven;
they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. 11.
Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the
right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12. And I
answered again, and said unto him, What
be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty
the golden oil out of themselves? 13. And he answered me and said, Knowest thou
not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand
by the Lord of the whole earth
These two men will prophesy for 1260 days. They will
be endowed with the power of God, with authority over heaven and water. During
their prophetic time, no one will be able to harm them before their time
fufills. (And if
any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their
enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed).
To explore the topic of God's two prophets, we must
first clearly understand who prophets are and what prophecy is. A prophecy is a
prediction that, according to religious beliefs, is a revelation from God. It
is addressed to individuals or a group of people (a tribe, a nation, or all of
humanity). It is voiced by a prophet.
A prophecy is a prediction! Information about future
events.
Biblical prophets always prophesied about the future,
the coming of the future, and never about what had already happened or was yet
to come. That would no longer be a prophecy, but a statement of facts. If
anyone on earth can speak facts and claiming to be a prophet so that's madness.
The last two prophets of God will prophesy before the coming of the
Antichrist. They will prophesy of the coming Antichrist, woe, troubles,
repentance, and the coming of the Lord God. They will not prophesy during the
reign of the Antichrist, as this will no longer be prophecy. They will not be
able to prophesy of troubles, wars, famine, or disease, as these will already
be fulfilled by then and will no longer be considered as prophecy.
These two witnesses of God will prophesy, and not
quote facts already known to everyone.
“And when they
shall have finished their testimony, the
beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against
them, and shall overcome them, and kill them”
The beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit! Why
didn't John write "the beast from the pit," or "the beast that
came up out of the pit"? Why did he insist on using such a temporary (in
progress) action that was about to happen?
Two prophets will prophesy for 1260 days before the
coming of the Antichrist and will be killed by him at the very beginning of the
last “week” (7 years), and they certainly won't appear along with the coming of
the Antichrist himself.
The beast that comes up out of the bottomless pit (abyss)
is Lenin, resurrected from his long-held residence - the mausoleum in Moscow.
Therefore, in the last days of their prophecy they
will come to Moscow.
“7. And
when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of
the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and
kill them. 8. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city,
which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified”
If we consider the possibility that two prophets will
prophesy the first half of the last week and be killed by the Antichrist in
Jerusalem upon its capture, then why does John, the Apostle and prophet of God,
spiritually refer to the same city, Jerusalem, as both the holy city and Sodom?
It's like black and white at a same time. Sodom is always associated with sin
and fornication, while Egypt is always associated with power, authority, and
captivity. So why did Jerusalem turn out to be both a holy and a sinful city at
the same time?
The prophet Isaiah confirms to us that the Antichrist
will be spiritually associated with Egypt.
Isaiah 10: 24.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion,
be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall
smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the
manner of Egypt. 25. For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall
cease, and mine anger in their destruction. 26. And the LORD of hosts shall
stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of
Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so
shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt
The Holy City was and will remain holy, despite being
trampled by pagans, and it will not become a prodigal city.
And as is well known, by the time Jerusalem is
captured, the Third Temple will be rebuilt there, and services will be held
there daily, with daily sacrifices for sin. And these sacrifices will be
pleasing to God, and then it will be difficult to call Jerusalem as Sodom,
since the sins and iniquities of Israel will be forgiven.
Daniel 8:11.
Yea, he
magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily
sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12. And
an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression,
and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered
The daily sacrifice will be stopped by the Antichrist
in the Temple of God.
«where also our Lord was crucified» - Any sinner can
crucify Christ within themselves through their unbelief and blasphemy against
the Lord. This is about atheism.
John didn't mean for these two prophets to be killed
in Jerusalem. The end of their prophecy would be in a large, powerful, sinful,
atheistic city - the capital of the Antichrist's (Lenin's) empire - Moscow.
The prophet Zechariah compares the coming of these
prophets to the period of the restoration (construction) of the Temple of God
in Jerusalem.
«7. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou
shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with
shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. 8. Moreover the word of the LORD came
unto me, saying, 9. The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this
house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of
hosts hath sent me unto you. 10. For who hath despised the day of small things?
for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel
with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through
the whole earth»
Therefore, it can be assumed that these prophets will
appear during a time of active construction and restoration of the Temple of
God, first built by Solomon and then by Zerubbabel.
Who these two witnesses will be - Enoch and Elijah,
whom God took alive to heaven, likely for this mission.
Enoch.
Genesis 5:23. And
all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24. And Enoch
walked with God: and he was not; for God took him
Elijah.
2 Kings 2:5. And
the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto
him, Knowest
thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And
he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 11. And it came to pass, as they still went on,
and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire,
and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12. And
Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and
the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes,
and rent them in two pieces
The important thing is to understand that these will
be two witnesses of God. Two prophets whom God sent to earth to prophesy and do
what they shall do for 1260 days. And if they have the power to close the sky
to prevent rain from falling on the earth (as Elijah did), they will do so. If
anyone wants to kill or harm them, they will forestall the attack. They will
have the power and authority of God; they will carry out God's ministry and the
Word of God.
“9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and
nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not
suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10. And they that dwell upon the
earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to
another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth”
For three and a half days, the bodies of the prophets
killed by the Antichrist will lie in the streets, and no one will allow them to
be buried. Multiple crowds of people will gaze upon these corpses. The media
(television, radio, newspapers or internet) will be essential. The
extraordinary joy of many people after their deaths is also described, so much
so that they will congratulate each other, sending gifts and greetings by mail.
Apparently, the two prophets will cover a large area during their 1260 days of
witness.
This also refutes the idea that the two prophets died
in Jerusalem after 1260 days.
It is extremely difficult to imagine people rejoicing
and sending each other gifts
at a time when the Antichrist's armies are committing evil and lawlessness in
the city itself (murder, violence, robbery).
«11. And after three days
and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon
their feet; and great fear fell upon them
which saw them. 12. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
Come up hither. And they ascended up
to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the
tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven
thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven»
In three and a half days, God will revive his servants and they will ascend to heaven on a cloud!!! This spectacle will be an indescribable shock for many, because where else could you see something like this before – people flying on a cloud).
And then a strong earthquake will occur, causing 10%
of the city to collapse.
And finally, an important passage from the Bible that testifies to the fact that two prophets will prophesy before the coming of the Antichrist:
Amos 3:6.
Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there
be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 7. Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets
God does nothing until He reveals His secrets to His servants, the prophets, especially when it comes to disasters and events of the end times.
