Part 14. New Babylon. Crime and Punishment.
Jeremiah 51:
35. The
violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of
Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
Babylon (Ancient Greek: Βαβυλών from the Semitic "bab-Illu," meaning
"Gate of God"; Akkadian: Babili, Babilla) was a city located in
Mesopotamia (today Iraq, 90 km south of Baghdad) and was one of the largest
cities of the ancient world. Babylon was the capital of Babylonia, a kingdom that lasted for
one and a half millennia, and then the empire of Alexander the Great.
The Babylonian Empire, as well as its rulers,
continually oppressed the Jewish people, violating their sovereignty, politics,
traditions, faith, rituals, and customs. This is recorded in the Bible as the
"Babylonian captivity." The first Temple of God, built by Solomon,
was destroyed by the Babylonian king.
Zechariah 2:7.
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8. For
thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations
which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye
Anyone who opresses God's people, Israel, and
especially the Temple of God, which is the dwelling place of God on earth, had
no idea that their actions would go unpunished, except that the punishment
would come from the God of gods Himself, not from a man. Punishment will
certainly come and will not be cancelled, though it will not come soon.
Jeremiah 50:28. The voice of them that flee and escape
out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our
God, the vengeance of his temple
This is precisely the vengeance for the Temple of God,
the inevitable punishment for trampling on the holy place, the destruction of
God's house on earth. Punishment for pride, selfishness, and blasphemy.
This article is about two Babylons! The old Babylon
and the new. About Babylon and its daughter (heir), which will be destroyed in
the final years of the Antichrist's reign. The first Babylon was besieged and
captured by King Cyrus in 540 BC. That year, Babylon was attacked by the Medes
and Persians.
Here are some facts from history.
The Medes and Persians occupied the eastern
territories now part of Iran. Both the Medes and Persians, peoples of
Indo-European origin, migrated to these lands around 1500 BCE. Their migration
was likely part of the Great Migration of Aryan peoples (or Aryans), who were
moving from southern Russia to India. Some of them moved through the Khyber
Pass (which lies in Afghanistan between the Safedkof mountains, and through
which one can enter Pakistan or India; the pass is 53 km long and varies in
width from 15 to 130 meters), displacing the Dravidians, the indigenous people
of Hindustan, to the south. Others turned west, pausing only temporarily in the
Euphrates Valley. Because they were Aryans (or Aryans), the country they
occupied became known as Ariana (the eastern part of the Iranian plateau). This
is also where the modern name of the country, Iran, comes from.
The Medes occupied the northeastern foothills, and
their capital became the city of Ecbatana, modern-day Hamadan in Iran. The
Persians settled primarily in the southwest. Between them, on the western
outskirts, settled the Elamites, a people of Semitic origin. The Elamite
capital was Susa, today's Shush. When Elam became part of the Medo-Persian
Empire, Susa became the main capital.
While the Medes were dealing with the Scythians, the
Persians were strengthening and expanding their holdings. In the early seventh
century, Achaemenes consolidated his hold on the Elamites, and his son,
Thespes, recaptured the city of Anshan from them. Thespes divided his holdings
between his two sons, Ariaramus and Cyrus I. The Medes, having dealt with the
Scythians, moved south and deposed both of Thespes' sons. For a time after
this, the Medes dominated the Medo-Persian system.
In 614, the Medes captured Asshur and entered into an
alliance with Nabopolassar, the king of Babylon. In 612, the allied armies
launched a powerful attack on Nineveh, leading to its complete destruction.
Almost nothing was known about the Assyrian conquest until 1923, when a scholar
working at the British Museum stumbled upon a tablet chronicling that very war
and even the exact date of Nineveh's fall. The true founder of the mighty
Medo-Persian Empire was Cyrus II the Great. More than 100 years before Cyrus's
birth, the biblical prophet Isaiah mentioned his name and prophesied that Cyrus
would help the Jews return to their homeland. "Thus says the Lord to His
anointed, to Cyrus... I have called you by name, I have honored you, though you
have not known Me... He will build My city and let My exiles go" (Isaiah
45:1, 4, 13). Only Babylon still stood in the way of realizing his dream of
creating the greatest and most powerful empire in the entire Near and Middle
East.
In 540 BCE, Cyrus began military operations against
the Babylonians. Nabonidus returned from Arabia to confront another threat to
his kingdom, but was immediately defeated at Opis. And now Babylon itself was
under siege by Cyrus's forces. However, the city's citizens felt completely
safe behind their massive fortress walls, and their king, Belshazzar, continued
his drunken orgy while celebrating yet another festival. Unbeknownst to the
city's inhabitants, Cyrus diverted the Euphrates River, which flowed through
the center of Babylon, and his soldiers stormed the carefree capital, marching
along the dry riverbed. But even this cunning maneuver might have failed had
the enormous bronze gates standing on the riverbed been closed, as they should
have been. Indulging in their revelry, the city forgot to lock all its gates.
Persian soldiers entered Babylon without resistance, and aside from the murder
of Belshazzar, the Persians committed no other bloodshed. The Jews watched the
unfolding events with anticipation and trepidation, for they recognized Cyrus
as the fulfiller of Isaiah's prophecies. As soon as the opportunity presented
itself, the Jewish elders informed Cyrus of the prophecy made 160 years
earlier: "Thus says the Lord to His anointed Cyrus: 'I will hold your
right hand to subdue nations before you; and I will loose the loins of kings,
so that doors will be opened to you, and gates will not be shut'" (Isaiah
45:1). Cyrus was astonished by the extraordinary precision of the prophecy's
fulfillment, which even mentioned unlocked gates. But the prophet also spoke of
the responsibility placed upon Cyrus. The Lord God “says of Cyrus: He is my
shepherd, and he will carry out all my will; and he will say to Jerusalem: ‘You
will be built!’ and to the temple: ‘You will be founded!’” (Isaiah 44:28).
The biblical account reads: "In the first year of
Cyrus king of Persia... the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia,
and he caused it to be proclaimed throughout his kingdom by word of mouth and
in writing, saying, 'Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord God of heaven has
given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has charged me to build Him a
house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is of you of all His
people—may his God be with him—shall go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and
build the house of the Lord God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem'"
(Ezra 1:1-3). Inspired by the divine word, Cyrus the Great decided to help
other peoples who had been forcibly displaced by the Babylonians. This can be
read on a clay cylinder (23 centimeters high, found in Babylon and kept in the
British Museum): "Without any battle He allowed him to enter the city of
Babylon, delivering Babylon from disaster. He delivered into his hands
Nabonidus, the king who did not bow to him... I am Cyrus, king of the world,
the great king, the rightful king, king of Babylon... All the kings of the
whole world... brought great tribute and kissed my feet in Babylon... I
returned to them their sacred cities on the other side of the Tigris, as well
as their sanctuaries, which had been in ruins for a long time... I gathered all
their inhabitants and returned them to their former places of residence."
The King of Babylon, Belshazzar, the son of King
Nebuchadnezzar, was killed for his foolish, proud iniquity - he got drunk with
his guests and servants, using for this purpose the vessels from the Temple of
God, which were sacred; in other words, he simply neglected and trampled on
property that belonged only to God and which should have been used exclusively
for sacred purposes.
Daniel 5:1. Belshazzar the king made a great feast
to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. 2. Belshazzar,
whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels
which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in
Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might
drink therein. 3. Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of
the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his
princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. 4. They drank wine, and
praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of
stone. 22. And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though
thou knewest all this; 23. But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of
heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou,
and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou
hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone,
which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and
whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: 30. In that night was
Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. 31. And Darius the Median took the
kingdom, being about threescore and two years old
Anyone who tramples His sanctuary and property will
certainly be punished. Anyone who tramples His temple, His people, will be
severely punished.
Isaiah 13:17. Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard
silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. 18. Their bows also
shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of
the womb; their eye shall not spare children. 19. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency,
shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from
generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there;
neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. 21. But wild beasts of the
desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures;
and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. 22. And the wild
beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their
pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be
prolonged
This prophecy came true. Old Babylon is destroyed, and
in its place lies a desert of stones. No one lives there. Since then, Babylon
has been attacked and plundered by many nations. Gradually, the city turned
into a desert and ruins. Life ceased, and everyone fled.
Archaeological excavations and research are being
conducted at the site. This place is of interest only to modern historians.
It would seem that Babylon is finished forever. But
there are biblical prophecies that provide ample reliable information about the
existence of an heir to Babylon, that is a daughter of Babylon, and that she
will suffer the same fate as her mother in her time.
The Book of Revelation tells of the fate of Babylon, a
city whose name is hidden. It was hidden only because this secret was so
important that it could not be made public for many reasons, lest it disrupt
the course of historical events. It's also important to understand that the
events described in the Book of Revelation refer to the final years - the reign
of the Antichrist, and then to the millennial reign of the saints. This book
does not recount events that have already taken place. These events are
awaiting their turn. They are the future, not the past.
Revelation 17:5. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
Revelation 14:8. And
there followed another angel, saying, Babylon
is fallen, is fallen, that great
city, because she made all nations
drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication
What's meant here is not physical fornication, but
spiritual - that is, this city, which presents itself to others as God's holy
city, but in reality is not. Its politics, religion and faith are imposed on
other peoples of the earth.
Revelation 16:19. And
the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations
fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto
her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20. And every
island fled away, and the mountains were not found
Revelation 17:1. And
there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with
me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the
great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2. With whom the kings of the earth
have committed fornication, and the
inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3. So
he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit
upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads
and ten horns. 4. And the
woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and
decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her
hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5. And upon her
forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and
with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great
admiration - cruel persecution and harassment of believers in the
Lord. Mass murders of saints.
15. And
he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are
peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 18. And the woman which thou
sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of
the earth - International city.
Revelation 17:9. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on
which the woman sitteth. 10. And there are seven kings: five are fallen,
and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue
a short space - the city is
located on seven hills.
Revelation 18:1. And
after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great
power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2. And he cried mightily
with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the
great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the
hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of
the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed
fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the
abundance of her delicacies. 4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not
partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5. For her
sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6.
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to
her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double - God advises people to flee from this city so as not to
be held responsible for its sins, as they once fled from Sodom.
7. How
much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and
sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow - great wealth, a reigning city that has known
absolutely no grief for a long time.
8.
Therefore shall her plagues come in one
day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire:
for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived
deliciously with her, shall bewail her,
and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10. Standing
afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city
Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come - this city will perish in one day, suddenly.
Revelation 18:11. And
the merchants of the earth shall weep
and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12. The
merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine
linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner
vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass,
and iron, and marble, 13. And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and
frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and
sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14. And the
fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which
were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more
at all. 15. The merchants of these
things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her
torment, weeping and wailing, 16. And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine
linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and
pearls! 17. For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in
ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18. And cried
when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this
great city! 19. And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and
wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that
had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made
desolate - this city is located near the sea – a very important
geographical point!
Revelation 18:20. Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy
apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21. And a mighty
angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying,
Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be
found no more at all. 22. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of
pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no
craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the
sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23. And the light
of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom
and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were
the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24.
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that
were slain upon the earth
All life in the city will cease completely and
forever, and will never happen again.
Who will destroy this city of Babylon?
Revelation 17:16. And
the ten horns which thou sawest upon the
beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and
shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.17. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until
the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18. And the woman which thou sawest is
that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth
As previously mentioned, the 10 horns of the beast
represent the CIS countries. The armies of the Antichrist will destroy Babylon.
This is God's plan. This is how the Lord intended to punish Babylon for its
wickedness and abominations.
Below, we will examine Bible passages that contain
prophecies about Babylon and its fate. These passages are from the Old
Testament. Many people believe they refer to past events in ancient Babylon.
But this view is highly distorted, as such people read the Bible inattentively
and sometimes fail to consider even the most important details.
So, the historical fact is that ancient Babylon was
destroyed by two neighboring peoples, the Medes and the Persians. Attention –
two neighboring peoples! Peoples who were nearby. This is the most
important fact. Remember it.
Next we read the following prophecies:
Isaiah 13:1. The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the
son of Amoz did see.2. Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the
voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3. I have commanded my sanctified ones,
I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in
my highness. 4. The noise of a multitude
in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms
of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the
battle - many kingdoms and nations are gathering together to fight against
Babylon. Not two nations, not three, but many nations!!!
5. They come from a far country, from the
end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to
destroy the whole land. 6. Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it
shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7. Therefore shall all hands be
faint, and every man's heart shall melt:8. And they shall be afraid: pangs and
sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that
travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames
- the attacking army come from very distant lands, from
the edge of the sky!!

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh,
cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall
destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10. For the stars of heaven and the
constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in
his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11. And I will
punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will
cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of
the terrible. 12. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man
than the golden wedge of Ophir. 13. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the
earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in
the day of his fierce anger. 14. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a
sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and
flee every one into his own land. 15. Every one that is found shall be thrust
through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.16.
Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses
shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished - the days of God's wrath. The armies of the Antichrist plunder and
destroy the nations of the world.
Isaiah 21:1. The burden of the
desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh
from the desert, from a terrible land. 2. A grievous vision is declared unto
me; the treacherous dealer dealeth
treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media;
all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. 9. And, behold, here cometh a
chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen,
is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground
- coastal desert. Babylon,
located by the sea, turns into a desert, an uninhabited place, and ruins.
Isaiah 47:1. Come
down, and sit in the dust, O virgin
daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of
the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. 3. Thy
nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet
thee as a man. 5. Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter
of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more
be called, The lady of kingdoms. 6. I
was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into
thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very
heavily laid thy yoke. 7. And thou
saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things
to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. 8. Therefore hear
now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that
sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:9.
But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of
children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the
multitude of thy sorceries, and for the
great abundance of thine enchantments. 10. For thou hast trusted in thy
wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it
hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else
beside me. 11. Therefore shall evil come
upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall
upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon
thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.12. Stand now with thine
enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured
from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest
prevail - proud city, great wealth, luxury, carefree life,
spiritual fornication, sudden death.
Isaiah 48:14. All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them
hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on
Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans. 20. Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell
this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed
his servant Jacob - The Lord advises
people to flee the city immediately, as the Antichrist's forces will spare no
one there. Believers must leave before it's too late and avoid death, as this
punishment is not intended by the Lord for them. This fate is for sinners and
the city's authorities.
Jeremiah 50:1. The
word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans
by Jeremiah the prophet. 2. Declare ye
among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal
not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in
pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. 3. For out of the north there cometh up a
nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and
none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and
beast - Attention! The northern nation attacked Babylon, and the same nation will
conquer all other nations of the earth. This is the state of the Antichrist, the
CIS countries. Old Babylon was destroyed by only two neighboring peoples, and
they are not northern at all, not from the ends of the earth.
8. Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and
go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the
flocks. 9. For, lo, I will
raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from
the north country: and they shall set themselves in array
against her; from thence she shall be
taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in
vain. 10. And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be
satisfied, saith the LORD. 13. Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be
inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon
shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. 14. Put yourselves in array
against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no
arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD. 15. Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations
are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD:
take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. 16. Cut off the
sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest:
for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and
they shall flee every one to his own land. 17. Israel is a scattered sheep; the

of their visitation - a great assembly of peoples from the land of the north
will attack Babylon.
28. The
voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in
Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple - people are fleeing Babylon. The Lord is avenging His Temple. This
city, the new Babylon, was also to gravely sin against the Lord; it destroyed
His Temple in Jerusalem.
29. Call together the archers against Babylon:
all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape:
recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do
unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of
Israel. 30. Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men
of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD. 31. Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of
hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. 34. Their
Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead
their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of
Babylon. 35. A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the

a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be

together against the daughter of Babylon. The city is destroyed, the city's
authorities are terrified, and rumors of Babylon's fall spread throughout the
land.
Jeremiah 51:1. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against
them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying
wind;2. And will send unto Babylon fanners,
that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall
be against her round about - Babylon is attacked by the enemies of God, the blasphemous armies of the
Antichrist, who will later be routed in the Valley of Megiddo. Surely, Babylon
will not be attacked by believers; but by the armies of sinners, and their fate
will be in hell.
Jeremiah 51:6. Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man
his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S
vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. 7. Babylon hath been a golden
cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have
drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad - Babylon spread its religion to many nations, thereby
distracting many people from the true God, the true faith was trampled and
hidden.

Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain,
if so be she may be healed. 9. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not
healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her

saith the LORD - vengeance from the
Lord on Babylon for her deeds in Zion, that is, for the destruction of His

ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call
together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a
captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers. 28.

swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he
hath cast me out.35. The violence done
to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my

longer come to this city to worship the king of Babylon. Note: this is
specifically describing the worship of the king of Babylon!
45. My
people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from
the fierce anger of the LORD - Run,
people, from Babylon, run without looking back, just run...
46. And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the
rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and
after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler
against ruler. 47. Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment
upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and
all her slain shall fall in the midst of her. 48. Then the
heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the
spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD.
49. As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall
fall the slain of all the earth - from the north, devastaters are attacking it. Northern
peoples. Because Babylon killed the Jews, so they too will be killed.
50. Ye
that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar
off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind. 51. We are confounded, because we
have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into
the sanctuaries of the LORD'S house. 52. Wherefore, behold, the days come,
saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all
her land the wounded shall groan. 53. Though Babylon should mount up to heaven,
and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall
spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD. 54. A sound of a cry cometh from
Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans: 55. Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon,
and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great
waters, a noise of their voice is uttered: 56. Because the spoiler is come upon
her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows
is broken: for the LORD God of recompences shall surely requite. 58. Thus
saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken,
and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in
vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary. 61. And Jeremiah said
to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all
these words; 62. Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this
place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but
that it shall be desolate for ever. 63. And it shall be, when thou hast made an
end of reading this book, that thou
shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: 64. And
thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink,
and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be
weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah - The complete
extermination of Babylon's population, its plunder and destruction. This is the
end. This place will never be inhabited again. It will be a desolate place. A
desert by the sea, as the prophet Isaiah foretold.
A brief summary of the prophecies about Babylon: a
great, powerful city, ruling over other kings and nations, spreading its
religion to many nations, conducting mass persecutions and murders of
Christians and Jews, destroying the Jerusalem Temple, enjoying great luxury and
wealth, a carefree life without sorrow or troubles, located near the sea on
seven hills, an international city of a great empire. It will be destroyed by
distant northern nations - the army of the Antichrist.
This information is sufficient to name this city, the
daughter of Babylon, the daughter of the Chaldean people. To do this, one only
needs to inquire about the fate of the Temple of Jerusalem and who destroyed
it.
The First Temple was destroyed by Babylon long before
the birth of Jesus Christ. Babylon was punished for this. The site is now a desolate
place. No life. Punishment for lawlessness.
The Second Temple was destroyed by the Roman Emperor
Titus in the year 70 after the birth of Christ.
Rome, also known as Babylon, also known as the
daughter of Babylon, has been awaiting its fate for almost 2000 years.
Punishment has not yet come to Rome, but punishment is inevitable. Punishment
from the Lord for the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple will surely come.
The Great Roman Empire conquered all nations, spread its religion to others, robbed and killed Jews, and destroyed the Jerusalem Temple.
The great Holy City of Rome, or more precisely the
Vatican, where multitudes flock to worship the Pope, not the Living God. It
boasts incredible wealth and luxury. The city is located near the sea on seven
hills.
This city has known no misfortune for a long time. No
disasters, fires, volcanoes, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, or attacks from
other countries - even during World War II, no one touched it. All the sacred
vessels, including the sacred vessels taken from the Temple in Jerusalem, are
kept there, in the possession of the Pope. He is considered God's vicar on
earth. Millions of people proclaim and worship him. Catholicism has spread to
many nations, misleading countless millions. This is precisely what the Bible
calls the fornication of the daughter of Babylon. The Holy City of Rome, which
is not holy at all, but even worse. Here it's worth recalling the persecution
of Christians, the Inquisition, the absolution of sins for money (indulgences),
and the Crusades against other nations, all carried out for the sake of
personal enrichment, not for the purpose of spreading faith in God by force.
Many people, including the Holy People, perished at the hands of Rome.

Catholicism (Latin catholicismus) (from the Greek καθολικός -
"universal", literally "in all things" or "in
accordance with all things"; the term "ἡ Καθολικὴ Εκκλησία" was
first used in relation to the church around 110 in a letter from Saint Ignatius
to the inhabitants of Smyrna and was enshrined in the Nicene Creed) is the
largest branch of Christianity in terms of the number of adherents (about 1
billion 147 million people as of the end of 2007, formed in the 1st millennium
CE on the territory of the Western Roman Empire. In historiography, the schism
with the Eastern Christian Church, which was called Orthodox, is attributed to
1054. However, ruptures in Eucharistic communion between the Sees of
Constantinople and Rome have occurred repeatedly since the mid-1st millennium
CE, but all have been overcome. The visible head of the Catholic Church is the
Pope, who presides over the Holy See and the Vatican City State in Rome.
Just think about that number – 1 billion 147 million people!
The Apostle Peter knew that Rome was Babylon, and even
casually mentioned it:
1 Peter 5:13. The
church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so
doth Marcus my son
At that time, little remained of old Babylon, and no
church existed there. Apostle Peter spent much time in Rome, planting and
strengthening Christian churches there. He knew from the Lord what kind of city
it was and what its fate would be. Therefore, although it was subtle, he warned
the believers once again that Rome, where Peter was, is Babylon.
Revelation 17:4. And the woman was arrayed
in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with
gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of
abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5. And upon her forehead was a
name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
Purple and scarlet are
the colors of cardinals and bishops. Gold, precious stones, and pearls
figuratively represent the boundless wealth of the papacy. Of no other power
can it be said with such complete certainty that it was "drunk with the
blood of the saints" as of this church, which so cruelly persecuted the
followers of Christ. Scarlet (2 Samuel 1:24; Lamentations 4:5; Dan. 5:7;
Matthew 27:28, 31; Mark 15:17, 20; John 19:2, 5; Acts 16:14; Rev. 17:4; Rev.
18:12, 16) was the most expensive fabric in ancient times, dyed crimson
(blood-red) and signifying the highest, royal distinction. The Phoenicians were
the first to learn how to use dye for such fabric, obtained from sea shells
called purple. Due to their rarity, such fabric was, of course, extremely
expensive and available only to the wealthiest people. In the Bible, colors
similar to crimson are also called jacinth, purple, violet, and scarlet (for
which see the relevant places), and these names are not found in the same
places in different translations.

soon be revealed. The Antichrist will visit him in his final years, when he

cities, for she committed so much evil during her reign. The whole truth will
be revealed. Vengeance for the Temple of God is inevitable. Such things are
forever unforgivable.
A holy city for
many nations. An intoxicating religion throughout the world.

cities, for it committed so much evil during its reign. The truth will be

Revelation 18:8. Therefore shall her plagues come in one
day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire:
for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her
The Antichrist will publicly execute all the holy
holies (cardinals, bishops, etc.) in a special way. And there are many of them
in that city. Such is their fate, to be executed by the Antichrist when he
storms into Rome. Such is their fate determined by the Lord. Punishment for a
crime. Such is the fate of Rome.
Jeremiah 50:2.
Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and
conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel
is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her
images are broken in pieces. 43. The king of Babylon hath heard the report of
them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a
woman in travail.46. At the noise of the
taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations
The Pope will be executed unless he commits suicide
before being captured by the soldiers of the Antichrist. The words "Bel is
confounded" refer to the Pope. He is Bel, the ancient Babylonian deity
worshiped by many. This has persisted to this day, disguised as a holy deity
for nearly two millennia.
Revelation 18:4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her
sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues
Many times God persistently and insistently through
his holy prophets, recommends fleeing from Babylon, from Rome, when the time of
punishment comes.
Jeremiah 51:46. And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour
that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after
that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler
against ruler
- This is the time when the Antichrist comes to power
and begins to wage war against other nations. In three and a half years, he
will subjugate the entire earth. During this period, Rome will also suffer at
the hands of the Antichrist. Don't miss this period! Leave Rome as soon as the
Antichrist rises.
Three important true prophets of God testified to the
inevitable judgment of Babylon, the New Babylon. Isaiah, Jeremiah, and the
Apostle John prophesy of the same event.
The similarities between the prophecies are striking,
and for ease of presentation and understanding, they can be categorized for

The Book of Isaiah (chapters 13, 21, 47, and 48), the Book of Jeremiah (chapters 50
and 51), and the Book of Revelation (chapters 14, 16, 17, and 18) all
prophesy of the New Babylon.

The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and

hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine;

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the
inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her

THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Rev.18:23. And the light of a candle shall shine no more
at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be
heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the
earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. |

in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness. 41. How
is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is
Babylon become an astonishment among the nations! 42. The sea is come up upon
Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. 55. Because
the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when
her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered: 61.
And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and
shalt read all these words; 62. Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken
against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man
nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. 63. And it shall be, when
thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to
it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: 64. And thou shalt say, Thus
shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon
her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the

sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations,
and tongues.18. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which
reigneth over the kings of the earth. Rev.14:8. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon

Rev.18:21. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great
millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that
great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. |
Catholic and Orthodox religions.
Many readers, believers, especially Catholics, will
experience a dubious sense of anger, and you will think the author is
attempting to criticize the Catholic faith, equating it with the most atheistic
and erroneous.
The author does not condemn anyone of any faith. Only
those biblical prophecies are cited here that relate to certain events, and if
the prophecies speak of Rome intoxicating many nations with its religion and
that it will answer for this before the Lord, then so be it. The truth will
soon be revealed. There is one faith and one God. There are many religions.
At that point, many people may believe that the
Antichrist, by destroying Rome and killing bishops and all the other clergy in
the city, is persecuting and punishing God's sacred people through his actions,
inflicting genuine persecution and persecution on Christians, destroying God's
true sanctuary. The Bible, in fact, proves the opposite. Rome's punishment is
not due to its holiness, but rather to its sinfulness. It is a payment for sin,
not for holiness. It is a payment for lost souls, a payment for murdered,
plundered, and deceived nations.
The same fate awaits the Antichrist and his army, and
all those who submitted to him and followed him, fulfilling his demands.
Here is a passage from the Bible that also speaks of
the Orthodox religion:
Jeremiah 1:15.
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the
north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall
set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against
all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. 16. And
I will utter my judgments against them touching all
their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other
gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands
The kingdoms of the north, the CIS countries, the same
10 horns of the beast described in the Book of Revelation, the countries allied
with the Antichrist, aka Orthodox Christians - they turn out to be enemies of
the Lord, having abandoned Him, worshiping the works of their own hands,
knowing nothing of God.
Of course, no matter how skillfully Orthodox priests
try to justify the idea that icons and images are sacred, even managing to
prove it from the Bible, the fact remains: this is worship not of the living
God, but of false, artificial gods, and this is a violation of one of God's 10
great commandments.
Exodus 20:3. Thou shalt have no other
gods before me. 4. Thou shalt not make unto thee
any graven image, or any likeness of any thing
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the
water under the earth: 5. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that
hate me
Deuteronomy 4:15. Take ye therefore good heed unto
yourselves; for ye saw no manner of
similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the
midst of the fire: 16. Lest ye
corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure,
the likeness of male or female, 17. The likeness of any beast that is on
the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, 18. The
likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish
that is in the waters beneath the earth: 19. And lest thou lift up thine eyes
unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all
the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which
the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven
There are hundreds of such passages in the Bible, yet
Orthodox Christians turn a blind eye to them. Yet they are part of God's Word.
Therefore, if you are Orthodox and think your faith is true, that is your
personal business. If you are Catholic and also believe that your faith is the
truest, so be it. On the Day of Judgment, the truth will be revealed to all who
live on earth, and retribution will be according to the deeds and faith of each
person, for everyone without exception.
One God and one faith! There are many religions. The
choice is always yours. You must know the truth, even if you don't believe it,
but you are obligated to know it. You will have a choice and the chance to reveal
your faith will be given to all people when the Antichrist comes to earth to
enslave it. Absolutely every person on the planet will be tested in faith and
truth; not a single one will remain without a trial and test of their true
faith. Everyone will have a choice: accept the Antichrist's terms and
conditions, place his mark on their bodies, and submit to him, or resist the
Antichrist by refusing to submit to his regime, even though it may cost them
their lives, as the Antichrist will destroy disobedient true believers.
Everyone's faith will be tested in fire! Everyone will be given the chance to repent of their sins and beliefs. Rome will burn for its centuries-old deeds, and its memory will be erased forever!
